Today I wanted to talk to you about non listed drivers and any type of auto claims. I was at a campaign debate and the crowd was discussing how we could make it to where their taxes went away. It was a ridiculous question and an irresponsible one at that. How would we have roads or scholls without everyone chipping in on that?
Lets move over to the insurance world. in the old driver there were policies that covered you for everything that you drove, or anyone that drove your vehicles. Well today through trial and errors most insurance companies have abandoned those old rules because you have way to many claims and accidents that way. In the old days you could have a comprehensive claim and your rates didnt go up.. not any more. Also in the past if you werent the one responsible for the accident you were not charged more with those type of incidents. With all the private property accidents where there is no investigation that is beginning to change in the insurance world. There is a new rating placed on people in accidents not at fault to track that person to see how many of those they are involved in and it could potentially mean a rate hikein time,
In years past you could allow your child to drive around in your car without child being rated. Today most insurance companies are going with rated named drivers only. Which basically means that if your friver is not listed on the policy if there is an accident then the car owner is 100% liable to all claims if accident occurs,
Make sure you keep up with your insurance companies policies on non listed and not at fault accidents.
