![]() Reliant Brokers is a mobile agency. We spend our time on the road servicing new customers. What we do in the insurance business does not require a $500.00 suit, a $60,000.00 SUV, and a $4000.00 per month office lease payment. To be an insurance agent you must be schooled in your field of service and make sure that you are selling a product at a value to the customer and of course, sell companies that will pay out on claims if there ever was a claim filed. The "act as if" people in the insurance business will sell this to you as unprofessional and "shady", but the truth of the matter is.. there is nothing about selling an insurance policy that requires you to have a tomb where people sit all day and waste money on 4 walls and a roof in a building that people will rarely come to visit you. Some customers want to feel "safe" and know that they can drive to their agent's building and panic about how bad they need to be paid... Well, the news I have for you is that your agent has nothing to do with the payouts on your claims. All they can do is report the claim and the people in the clouds that you can't see or talk to will make those arrangements. The truth of the matter is some agencies want you to think its important to spend all of this extra money on services they dont really need to keep their goody boxes filled and have a reason to overcharge you on your insurance policy in some cases. The truth of the matter is that as an agent ANYTHING that you need to be done can be done by a phone call. With new technology applications can be taken by phone off of the same handset I am speaking to you from. I can take your application from anywhere. In my office, pulled over on the side of the road, in a coffee shop, or leaving a meeting with another client. So for those of you out there that have fallen for the "act as if" game, the only people you are fooling is yourselves. And ask yourself how less we all would be paying for insurance if people would stick to the job at hand and stop making up delusions just to roll the bet upon your pay.
