Here lately I have really had the opportunity to sit down and put out a clear directive for our company.
In 2013 our entire business ran right into a hurricane economically. We were in the News Print business with Marketing and Advertising. Well we all know what the destination of newsprint has been over the past 5 years.. NOT GOOD.
In 2014 we focused on door to door marketing and internet marketing and promotion with some success. At the end of the year I just did not feel as though our business would ever be the same so I studied and invested to open up our property casualty insurance agency here in Missouri.
Insurance is cooked in a crock pot.. not a microwave, and the growth to it is proof of that. We have stedfast and kept going since 2014, one of our biggest hurdles is never finding a customer willing to buy from us, the issue is finding a insurance company to write the policy that will allow you to write their paper. In 2017 we had over 55 orphan applications with a ton of money invested on developing the leads to capture the app. I mostly sell business insurance.
After almost 5 years of being in business we have formed good alliances with our insurance companies. Even when the others start to call because they are losing business to us we WILL keep loyal to those that took the chance on this agency from the beginning.
